I don't know if the biobandage or other directly applied wound care treatments would have any adverse reactions with copper.

I've never heard of biobandage. That would be a question for @Humblefish I believe.

According to the rundown it is "safe with all other treatment". Ingredients: neomycin sulfate, methylene blue, cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12), binder, adhesion agents in isotonic, aqueous solution.
I have never used this particular brand but I used a similar wound product on koi. Can't remember the name though.

a lot of products say that. They say they cure "this" and "that" when in reality they don't do a darn thing. That's why i would wait for humblefish to look at it. There's nobody i trust more to say "yes that's safe" than him.

dangit.... He didnt make it :/ Since i got home i literaly been in front of the tank trying to make sure no one messes with him... I even sent my brother to home depot for me so i wouldnt have to leave ... Well when i went to go looking for something to seperate him frm everyone and came back, it didn't end so well.

I placed him in the corner of the tank but i placed medium sized fish net in front of him to lock him in place because he was floating all over the tank, and it looked as if my humu trigger wanted a piece of him but he had to think about it... came back n he was on the other side of the tank and not breathing , i knw it was either the humu or porcuppine puffer.

Sorry to hear of your loss. The damage looked pretty bad though.

"Bio-Bandage" is a neomycin-based antibiotic. It's usually found in topical medications such as creams, ointments, and eyedrops. It's safe to use with copper. However, copper is not the best medication to use on a puffer (if I read thru this thread correctly.)

Sorry for the loss and I agree about talking to humble before treatment ad I do the same he is the most knowledgeable person I've met when it comes to treating sick and injured fish

I'm sorry for your loss! He was chewed up pretty good so it was iffy at best that he would survive after that. Hopefully the rest will be ok after this.

Ya, pork puffers can be adolescent. Had a pork puffers kill my clown trigger yrs ago,gutted him right in front of me. Sorry .

Oh gosh. That's not good, but he's still alive so there's some hope. The fear here is that he might have suffered too much damage for him to come back from. There's a fear of not eating after this and starving to death and also infection. As naiad mentioned, see if he's eating at all. If he is, make sure to feed him vitamins:

• Soak fish food in vitamin supplements such as Selcon, Zoecon and Vita-chem or even Omega 3 & 6 fish oil. This will boost a fish’s natural immune system and is particularly useful for clearing viruses such as Lymphocystis.

You can also give him an antibiotic soaked in his fish food like kanaplex. You'd need to use a binder also such as Seachem's Focus. This will help fight infection of the wound. I mention feeding him the antibiotics because they are all in copper at the moment so it seems the best way to help him.

I swear when it rains it pours [emoji19] so As i went to look at my porc puffer i noticed one of my fish tail got nipped like the valentini puffer but not as bad at all n he is still eating luckily n moving all over the place but yesterday it wasnt n i thought it was the copper.
I wasnt prepared the last time but i was prepared this time n had the crate ordered so he is seperated frm everyone else in the tank.

My question is what do i do to get him better? I was looking into the vitamins u mentioned n tom. Will get either the vita chem or selcon to soak in his pellets. Do i need to buy anything else? Like i said its a little nip at the tail so its uneven but i can tell the porp puffer probably did it.

Do you think i am not feeding the porc puffer enough? I feed him either 2 or 3 feeder fish like goldfish, guppies, i forgot the names of the other 2 fish i feed. I've tried silversides but he doesnt really like it.

If possible try feeding the puffer more crustations than fish. They need them to grind down their beaks anyway. I would look for live feeder shrimp or prawns depending on his size. This will keep him occupied for a bit. It may be a pain but you may need to qt him separate if he is getting too agressive and the egg crate isn't working.

Well at first i didnt secure it but this time i tried securing it with the pvc pipes but not sure how long tht will even hold up for, but i will see when i get bavk home in a few. Do u have any other suggestions on how i should secure it?

Well, magnets come to mind first. It will take some rigging and a few tools, but if you cut the pvc to that it cradles the edge of the tank and the edge of the eggcrate, that might work. Or you could just use superglue gel and put a few dabs between the eggcrate and glass. That's not permanent and can be scraped off later. That's really all I can think of right this minute.

Ok i will try tht, but isnt the live feeder shrimp very tiny? He is not aggressive imo, he seems to be fine with all the fish even my tiny niger trigger but he likes to nip n has me thinking maybe he needs to be fed more idk. And when you say crustations do you mean like snails, mussels, clams?
