I recently saw a picture of a Vanuatuan Ember Blenny and instantly fell in love. It seems to be a rare fish and I was wondering if anyone has ever seen one or better yet know where to purchase one. Does anyone know a website that specializes in rare and exotic fish/corals ? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Welcome aboard!

I have never even heard of that. It's pretty.

!!! Welcome to R2R !!! Beautiful fish.

Welcome to R2R! Don’t know much about that particular one, but there are a whole list of blennies that are rarely seen in the industry... I came across a thread on here a couple years ago with people talking about some of the more rare ones and it was really interesting. I’ll have to see if I can track it down!

That's a super male in breeding colours. These blennies can and will fade in a tank if they don't have a female or similar species to dominate and this means you need a large tank in order for the two fish to coexist. I would check out normal ember blenny colours just to make sure you know what it will probably turn into.

Thanks that’s good to know

Yup.
They don't keep this look unless you do just that. Otherwise you end up with a dark, dull, grumpy fish.
