Gonna upgrade my older Sicce 2.0 to a Reef Octopus S2 and wondering is there anything I need to get extra to get it to hook up to the stock green return line on the reefer 170 sump? I had a heck of a time getting the green hose to go over the Sicce outlet and I don’t want to find out half way into switching that I needed something. Also, good pump? Getting one brand new for hook up price of 149.00 Sound like a good choice.
Thanks in advance You guys haven’t steered me wrong yet.

I'm not sure about install on a Reefer 170. But you do have the model wrong. You want the Varios 2, not the Varios 2S. The 2S is the skimmer pump version, the 2 is the return pump version.

Is it not this one?

I think I used a space when I shouldn’t of.

Yep that the right one. I use this on a 38 gallon, good pump.

Would it be worth going up to the 4? It’s got to pump about 4 feet up. Worth the extra money and keep it dialed down or do you think the 2 would be Adequate.

Right now I run my Varios 2 on level 2 out of 5. But I'm about to start a 10 gallon refugium that is fed off a manifold. I'l be turning it up soon. If I decide to run more things off the manifold, I'll need to turn it up even more.

I’ll go for the 2 and save the green! Thanks

I have the S-2 for a 75 gallon cube, running at 75% I regret not going to 4 but so far it seems adequate, you guys think the s-2 is enough turnover?
