Varios Pumps/Skimmer - Feed LEDS blinks red

Did a water change today and turned off my Skimmer, when I went to turn back on. The pump would not turn back on, instead the 15 and 60 min LED lights blink.

Quick search online, the propeller is not stuck.

I have had this issue before on one of my other varios pumps(return) and it did this, I unplugged it and then after some time plugged back in and worked fine.

Was able to do some troubleshooting. I have another varios6. Swapped DC controllers and now the skimmer works... so does this mean the dc controller that came with the skimmer is malfunctioning?

It is possible and I would contact manufacturer who may very well replace it for you
