Happy Wednesday reefers!
This critter was perched right on top of one of the tubes of a Green Star coral and when the light went on it starting moving underneath which was the precise moment I managed to snap this photo. Now it is out of sight again. I would love to hear any and all stories associated to this little demon. (Ya I know its just a little starfish doing its duty )But is it reef friendly?

Regards,
LN

More than likely it is a reef-safe species of Asterina Starfish. I have and have had many 100's in my systems for decades, occasionally I will remove larger ones (anything over 1/2") to be safe. I normally have a 2-3 Wrasses in my tanks that do a great job in keeping their population in check. Most of them feed on coraline algae and or detritus.

Cheers, Todd

Wow. God I love this hobby. Thanks for all the good news ! I was concerned about that because of the way it was literally perched right in top of one if the tubes.
