I picked up an RFG (1/2 in kit from @Vivid Creative Aquatics ) I’m having trouble getting it connected in my Fluval Evo 13.5 gallon. I’m only able to get the RFG with no extra knuckles connect to the stock knuckle. When setup like this it creates bubbles.

Am I missing a connector for this? Also weird that I can’t use the extra length or the knuckles that comes with the kit?

You should be able to connect the Loc-line directly to the the part you have in your hand

This will get you the depth you need so as not to draw in air.

it will likely be at tight kit, so you may have to muscle it in. In this case, the easiest way to do that, since you have the NPT fitting already out, is to place it ball connector side up on table, then press-fit the loc-line on to it.

if, the Loc-line is too loose (that can happen too, since they dont use genuine Loc-Line brand parts ), then you can use the included 2021-050 Flex Adapter to convert the stock outlet to Loc-line

Good luck. Unless you've upgraded the pump, you'll likely not get the action you're expecting from the nozzle. They need a certain amount of flow to work correctly. The fluval 13 stock pump doesn't do it. It'll just be a weird stream at a weird angle.

Thanks I’ll give it another go here soon.

I have the ZKSJ 400 gph.

I have the ZKSJ 400 gph.
the sweet spot for the 1/2in RFG is around 400GPH, so that pump will do awesome .

the 1//2in Random Flow Generator works pretty good as low as 250 GPH, but push anywhere from 350 to 450 GPH to the 1/2in RFG and they will wake up the flow in the tank dramatically .
