I have had my M1 connected to a Ecotech battery back up for years and use/test it weekly. A couple months ago, it stopped working, I thought it might be because I needed to clean the pump, so I did (it was not bad at all) and still no water movement. The green light on the controller will flash indicating battery back up mode, but no water movement. I recalibrated the extra flow manually via the driver and still nothin in battery mode. The vectra is connected to my apex & I have it added to my ecsmart login via a reeeflink, but rarely ever login to ecosmart. When I tried to calibrate via ecosmart, I could not. The first step when it says it‘s turning off the Bactria, it does not (Could this be because it’s connected to my apex)?

I may be trying to read too much into this as it has worked fine for years and then just stopped moving water a couple months ago???

Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Steve

I also have a Vortech MP10 connected and it runs fine off the battery. Ecotech has a “battery backup test”. Where you remove the booster and use a non booster cable & the LEDs on the controller indicate charge (left low/no charge & right full charge). This test indicated full charge for me. The battery is some 4-6 years old and they say they last ~4 years. I’ll give Ecotech a callMonday morning, but thought I’d throw it out on the form in the mean time.

It may not have enough "juice" to boost enough to run the vectra.
I know its more than 12v and requires a special cable to run it. that may be the issue why the old battery wont run that but the 12v vortech fine.

I used a different 12V battery and the Vectra runs as expected. Conclusion is the Ecotech battery is about done.
Thanks for the thoughts!

I wonder at what charged voltage it becomes unusable....
And how much longer it would reliably run the mp10.

I have a bunch of batteries varying in charged voltage that i plan to use with the vectra in my diy backup system. But theyre twice the AH as the ecotech battery so i wonder if it matters....

Vectra has a booster that is required I think to work with the battery backup
