I've had this since they first came out and its been perfect, until now. :(

We had a power outage in my area, and now that the powers back on the return isn't working properly... controller is on, and the knob area is staying green and isn't blinking or anything. I tried cleaning the pump hoping that's all it was, but of course it isn't. Basically what it's doing is starting up and the pump itself (not the controller) is turning off and on periodically over a minute or so, until it stops running altogether. I turned it on the lowest setting and it seems to be running fine, is this some sort of overheating issue? Anyone have any ideas on what's going on? I emailed EcoTech but I'm guessing I probably won't hear anything over the weekend?

was it connected to a surge protector or just a power strip with switch? i have no experience with this product line or your set up.

Mine always sound a bit funny when they start back up after an outage. Could there be air trapped?

I don't know if it's fixed or what, but knock on wood it seems to be running fine at normal speed now? Hopefully it's nothing and continues to run fine.

lol

im glad its working! when was the last time you actually turned your pump off? and did you notice any thing strange when you turned it back on or ramp up the speeds? just to rule out the power outage thats all.

i havr a L1 pump and it happen to me the same thing, i call ecotch tech and they replace the pump for me. it us the pump problem not the power supply or the controll
