Vectra M2 Strainer

Hi I bought the vectra m2 and the strainer kit. The strainer is pretty long but says you can trim. My question is What is the length I should cut it down to? Would 2 inches be ok?

I'd suggest you cut it down as little as you absolutely need to in order to use it.
