Are the vectra pumps pressure rated?

I am trying to use one to run a Beckett skimmer and after setting it up last night, was really unimpressed. In doing research I was thinking it would work wel, but now in not so sure.

Needing around 15-1800 gph with a 3' head height.

Well more research and it is a dc pump, so it should do it.

I am working on it again tonight, but still on the fence. I can't seem to get the water level steady. Adjust pump, adjust drain valve, water level slowly drops in the skimmer.

I checked for the constant vs. closed loop and I am on constant.

Awesome. So the vectra was a waste of 300 some dollars for this.

I use the M1 as a return for my 240 gallon and have 2 return lines with penductors at the end, that pump does a wonderful job as a return pump.

I'm thinking I am going to replumb my tank and use the vectra as the return pump and use my panworld as the skimmer pump. It will drop the return flow some, but it should still be enough turn over for the tank.
