Please I hope not he’s been in therapeutic copper for 14 days then transferred to a clean QT for another week. Eating great the entire time and still is. But now that he is in the DT I see a bunch of tiny spots. Maybe wounds from ich? Does it take that long to heal?

I'm sorry to say, but it does look like velvet. Did you have velvet in the display tank at any time? Possibly the tank didn't sit fallow long enough?

No I’ve had a Foxface and a pair of clowns in there for over 6 months no problems.

Is this a new fish that you put through an initial QT? Or was this fish in your DT then QT’ed?

This fish was bought from LFS put in QT for 3 weeks, 2 being full therapeutic with copper power at 1.75 checked with Hanna then 1 week transfer and observed.

Here’s pics with no blues sorry they are bad but he’s fast.

With some of the dusting I think I see I would think this is velvet. Is he displaying any other symptoms? Fast breathing, flashing, swimming into powerhead, etc? If needed remember you can do a FW dip for some relief if it is velvet.

Maybe moderate breathing because he freaks when I get close to tank. But if I stand from a distance he swims around like normal picks at the rocks and so forth. No flashing or swimming in power head. Just cruising back and forth from one end of the tank to the other

How long has been covered like this?

Just noticed it today

This is the second day he’s been in DT

Really confused how this could happen so fast
