Hey Guys

I had velvet come into my tank on a fish I purchased. It wiped out a bunch of my fish. I have a few that seem to have survived it. According to humblefish Website I need to go fallow for about 6 weeks. Does that include removing these “immune” fish and sending them to quarantine?

Thanks

Yes, all fish need to be ran through quarantine. If the parasite is given a host to feed on, it'll survive, and as soon as the new fish go in it'll come right back.

Treat in a sick tank while you are going fallow in the main display. By the time the fish come out of the copper treatment, the tank will have remained fallow long enough to return them to the tank. Don't worry about the CUC. They can remain in the main display without worry. Just remember to feed them a little bit every few days.
