Blue hippo out of nowhere started looking like this and acting very weird laying on rocks letting other fish pick on him and sometimes not moving. Breathing is heavy. I have a carpet nem in the tank you think he got stung or something else?
Also noticed my purple tang that has been with this fish for five years no issues is now chasing him around tank?

Is the lesion only on the fish’s left side?
I suppose it could be from the anemone, but I think that is pretty rare. It isn’t an Atlantic carpet is it, those are pretty potent.
The lesion isn’t typical for velvet, but the rapid breathing can be.
Since the fish are harassing it, do you have a good way to isolate it for now?

Jay thanks for the response
It seems to be only on the one side. I don’t know the type of anemone but it’s pretty big.
I had to leave but have been watching the cameras on tank and he seems to be swimming around more now. Will check more when I get back

@Jay Hemdal
big mark is only on one side and the tail seems to have on both. Other than that right now he is doing fine see video.
thank you

Well, it looks pretty good right now. I could have been the anemone after all. While it could also be a bacterial disease, with the lack of any other symptoms, I hesitate to have you try a treatment, as there are always risks associated with treatments....
