First off, let me say that I absolutely love the iTrader rating option. Gives quick and accurate infomation to both seller and buyer and allows each a measure of comfort. BUT.... the other area where we go to get more detailed sell/trade feedback is in their perspective forums. Here is where it gets a little disorganized. Each seller, buyer and vendor should have one thread for them, where all feedback can be reviewed. Does that make sense?

Say I am a seller, make 10 sells this year. Some good, some not. My customers here on R2R should all place their feedback and experiences under the "ddwbeagles" feedback thread. Not under 10 different "new topics" in that catagory. Just a humble suggestion and the iTrader more than makes up for this, but thought I would mention it for consideration. Thanks

IMO, the itrader isn't really that valuable of a tool, because it isn't utilized properly. For instance, I've purchased from several vendors, through R2R. In most cases, I've given them itrader ratings. Yet none of the vendors have rated me, so I have 0 ratings. A little disappointing, but I do understand how vendors can get too busy.

Another example, you mentioned in another thread. Vendors with 100% itrader ratings, have negative feedback in the Vendor Feedback forum. Seems the itrader and Vendor Feedback are used independently of one another, meaning some use itrader, some use the Vendor Feedback forum....

Well said and same here. In the last month I've bought about $700 worth of ZOAs/Palys from three sellers who are members here. Only one has left iTrader feedback. Anyway it was "that other thread" that got me thinking about all this as the iTrader if used properly really should be a stand alone rating or review metric. If we want to also duplicate those comments in the Feedback forums, then it would by a great deal easier if they all were consolidated under individual topics by seller, retailer, trader and/or buyer.
On the bright side, I've been extremely fortunate and have had very pleasant experiences with the purchases made here. I made one from a member off of Nano-Reef.com that was a nightmare and got burned pretty bad.

I think a single continuing thread in the applicable vendors forum is a good idea. The problem was there were multiple threads started for a few of the same vendors
around the same time that bumped the other vendors sale forums off the home page.

At the same time, there is a dedicated Vendor Feedback Forum for such threads though I dont think threads started there show up on the home page for some reason...

I've brought this up before, but if we allowed feedback to be left half the threads on our homepage under the vendor area would be feedback instead of a vendor trying to advertise some new coral/drygoods.

I will bring this back up and see what the moderators/Admins say.

Keep the subject going maybe we can come up with with something we all agree on!

I honestly wish they would leave feedback in one spot or just leave feedback lol I dont know how many folks here have said " wow great stuff and shipping" but never see a post anyware not sure why its so hard.

Note sure I follow you there. To clarify, I'm saying that if you Nayrgaijin make 20 sells this month and all buyers left feedback. That feedback would be IN the Sellers/Traders section of the forum and ALL under one thread, titled "Nayrgaijin's Feedback" or something like that. Same would hold true for the retail/online sellers in their section. That way if I was considering buying something from you in the near future, I could look at your iTrader rating and comments and/or go the the Seller/Trader forum and read all the details about your past transactions in ONE thread (chronologicly).

I most defenitely agree that feedback does NOT belong on each vendor's/sponsor's page. It clutters up the information they are trying to provide us and like others have said, the multiple threads (although nice) quickly push off important stuff to the back pages.

Vendor Trader Seller Buyer feedback

Seems the itrader and Vendor Feedback are used independently of one another, meaning some use itrader, some use the Vendor Feedback forum....

Only because we give them that choice. It realy is a duplication of content an a little redundant. Personally, I like the iTrader, but I always use both and I think we all agree, there is some room for improvement here.

Not b_tching by any means, just offering some constructive critisism, with good intentions. Thanks guys.

I like the iTrader section also. As a vendor we don't always catch the things in the Vendor feedback right away.

As a vendor, do you give feedback, via the iTrader, for people who've purchased from you? That's the problem I see happening. I as a buyer, have left feedback for several vendors. None have left any for me. It would seem that the buyer should be feedback as well, especially since most of the time, all the buyer is responsible for is to submit payment in a timely manner.

Fortunately, we had great experience here on R2R so we were able to give good feedback to most of our customers.

There is an option for you to view the feedbacks left to others on the vendors itrader page.

Good points, but I think buyer feedback is equally as important. Maybe not as much for the retailers, but during trades or private transactions it is something I always look at. I like to know if my partner in the deal, be it purchaser, trader or private seller can communicate status, ship on time and most importantly pack and protect items. Also buyer feedback gives the sellers an opportunity to judge "credibility" of potential clients. Sometimes that alone is the tie-breaker. Great disucssion.

Thats my only issue with feedback as most vendors ask for you to leave but most dont return it :( That just bugs me as we take time to do it for them but they dont take time to leave it for us. It helps both parties to leave feedback for each other.
Ive left alot of feedback but maybe got half back and almost all of those where for members not from vendors

Ask them for a feed back in return. There is alot of stand up vendors here in R2R.

I have and told a few that ask me for it that I would leave it if they did in return but they never do.:( Now I dont leave feedback for vendors unless they leave me feedback 1st. Well some I will because I know they will in return
