Good afternoon All,

I have been messaged by admin about a year ago stating that I've been listed as a vendor and have no options to buy and sell on R2R with other hobbyists like myself. What is defined as a vendor? I have a website because I do not have a Facebook, Instagram, youtube, or similar to post items for sell that I have fragged from my personal collection. I do not have a business license or wholesale account nor do I buy corals to cut and flip in any sort of way.

So, as a hobbyist, how does R2R think its ok to extort some one to pay $300 a month because they have a website that costs me $20 a month? I'm seriously confused as my coral are obviously not bought from wholesale and in total amount of all my frags wouldn't pay 2 months "rent" on here.

So how is this fair, I'm seriously hurt that I've been labeled and been taken off R2R because of false pretense for over 2 years.

Id love to discuss this with anyone.

Thanks,
James

IMPO If I were you.

I would've just started a new account, become and R2R supporter, and posted your corals on the trade forums. (But now you've outed yourself) :p without including a website link.

If you're posting your own website, I can see why they're constituting you as a vendor.

Your more or less giving yourself a leg up over any other regular hobbyist looking to make some side cash by posting your website link. It allows for 200x of an easier selling process by being able to click and purchase rather than going through the forums communication channels and using paypal.

Thus to me, qualifying you as a vendor with a website isn't unjust???

So if I delete my website, I should be potentially be allowed to use reef to reef as a hobbyist again? Its not like I get any sales from it anyways. Just local stuff. But I appreciate your quick and honest assessment even though I disagree that it might make it easier to "buy" but doesn't make me a vendor. I rather not pay for a website and worry about fees etc

Yeah might've seemed like a great idea at first (and it is honestly) But if you're really rarely selling and just made it because you wanted to showcase. Just get rid of the website and post your stuff for sale in the forums.

I'm sure @revhtree would agree. As long as all above is the actual case. :).

PM me and we can discuss tomorrow. I’ll look into your account and we can go from there. Thanks.
