Saw this description on an online vendor, can't stop thinking about the four foot shark in a 240G tank, lol

Mustelus californicus The grey smoothhound shark attains a maimum length of four feet, so it is a great choice for the large home sytem (240 gal min). It is more active than the other bottom dwelling sharks. Feed a variety of meety items: shrimp, crabs, scallops, etc, with shark vitamins.

Yeah online sites give the bare minimum a 240 is definitely pushing it with a full grown shark especially with that one being more active. That tank might be fine for the first years of life but not a permanent home.

Mustelis (like the mustelid family of mammals) is a very slender shark.

Still . . .

I'm looking at a 220, and I can't _imagine_ where you could put 40 extra gallons to make that tank OK for a four-foot shark. I wouldn't try an epaulette shark in it.
