I have purchased from Live Aquaria (and DFS), ReefCleaners, Blue Zoo Aquatics, Reef Geek, Bulk Reef Supply and a few others that I just cannot name right now. Personally happy with every purchase.
I would not worry about hard goods. Livestock, ask for a picture under daylights and WYSIWYG with a ruler so you know what you are getting exactly. Also follow the vendor feedback threads to see other good and bad experiences with vendors.
