Ventilation system cleaning, any risk for reef tank ?

hi,

we have to clean the ventilation system at home, the company we deal with can do the cleaning(dust removal) AND the 'decontamination'. i asked the MSDS of their product, it seems to be a mix of isopropanol 50-60% and water.

is it safe for a reef aquarium ?

Better safe than sorry? How long will the work take? Should consider covering the tank and turning off the skimmer if you're worried about issues with transmission through the air.

for now the decontamination is a no go, but the wife has a professionnal deformation, she's microbilogist and freaks about bugs.... and she pushing really hard for the decon. I'm against it.... she offered to pay for any lsot in my tank... but she does not know what's the value of whats in the tank... idon't really want to tell her.. if i do.. i'm done.. she'll freak!
