Hi all,
For those of you who own one or more zebrasoma tangs (yellow, purple, sailfin, gem, etc), have you noticed ant “extra small” to almost non-existence ventral fins? And have you seen their health or behavior altered with it?
Among the zebrasomas I have, the one with the most prominent ventral fins is the purple tang. But my desjardini and my biota captive yellow tangs all have tiny ventral fins, not sure if that’s natural. And the gem tang I obtained from tsm few years ago arrived without ventral find altogether!
The gem tang is off course doing well and being fat not seem to be affected by the missing fins. And the yellow tangs seem to be alright with their puny ventral fins too.
Was just curious if I just tend to draw the short straw when it comes to zebrasomas, or are they normally lacking in the ventral fin department?
