Venusta Angelfish going through QT

Well am encouraged. I fed him some gulf shrimp enriched with selcon and fed him NLS pellets. He is activly trying to eat both food items but spits them out once they are in his mouth for a second or two.

He's trying but it's like he doesn't know how to swallow.

It's better than what he has been doing thus far and that is ignoring anything I offer him.
I had a fish do that before and I gave him flakes and that worked i had a fish go 30 days before he eat but the clams are called little neck clams that works every time

Just a quick update:

He is finally eating. He's eating nori and gulf shrimp with gusto. He tries to eat NLS pellets but he has a hard time consuming them. They are soft prior to feeding.
He's a rather ragged looking venustus angel but I am hoping with time, nourishment and TLC he will color back up and be a show piece.

Here's a video of him now in a 10 gallon QT (he seems more comfortable in this tank).

Cool bro and what type of live rock is that?

Hey guys.

My angel is doing great. He is coloring up and his badly damaged pectoral fin is almost completely healed. He is eating nori and NLS pellets voraciously now. It's amazing how much color he has compared to when I got him. He was so pale looking.

Anyways, he looks great except for one concern. On his left lower side, he has a white skin tag looking thing. I am unsure what it is but I posted a quick video of him and you can see the skin tag looking thing. I don't think it's a parachute but I am unsure.

Any thoughts?

Could be Lymphocystis (more info below). Or it could be a skin tag. I had a puffer in observations for months with what I thought was Lympho; however a scope ID confirmed it was a benign growth of some kind.

Lymphocystis:

Symptoms - Lymphocystis appears as a white or beige colored cauliflower-like growth that usually starts on the fins and spines and sometimes spreads to the body. Initially it may be small (looks like ich), and then grows in size (which is how you know it’s not ich). Lympho is a virus that many fish carry for life. Fortunately, it is rarely fatal or even harmful to the fish, and symptoms will come and go.

Treatment options - No known cure or treatment exists. However, feeding vitamin-enriched foods and maintaining pristine water conditions may expedite the “going away” process.

Very beautiful fish I had tried them two times already with no luck I did get them to eat live blackworms but sad to say they both only lasted about a month. But I did not have all the qt info that I have now (thanks to the big Homie Humblefish ) but I also did read that they are a hard one to get use to aquarium life. I was tempted to order one this week as they did make my list but I went a next route.
Good luck I hope all goes well I will keep following as you may give me the push to try again. [emoji1474]

Venustus are great fish.

Are you planning on keeping them as a trio or is this guy going to a separate tank?
