VERETEX 170 Skimmer A problem child

So let me start by saying that i am on my 7th week in trying to get a replacement pump. The parts either get broken in shipment or they send the wrong ones. THIS IS 7 WEEKS PEOPLE. I have finally decided to ditch the veretex and send them (PRO LINE Aquatics) all of these parts back. Pro line is the north american distributor to them. They are seriously clueless about these skimmers. Not to mention the quality on these parts are horrible, my 9 years old could seat and glue parts together better than VERETEX. Anyhow, i am trying to reach ATB since that appears to be the same footprint as my current one. I have a question for them but, i want to know if their is a faster wa y to contact then rather then waiting for them to returne my call. I left them a message but i have to get this done today since it is my only day off. Any ideas?

WOW is all i can say. ATB returned my call and he said that my new skimmer will be shipped out today. I couldnt even get a replacement pump for the vertex 170 in 7 weeks. Well i am happy and my tank will be happier by this weekend.

I went through this from November until last month. The new pump they sent wouldn't work with the skimmer, kept overflowing. I finally got BRS to give me a 50% credit on return and ordered the Omega 150. Its a huge improvement!

Wll im glad it was finally fixed even though it cost you alot of money. I received my ATB today YEA wait whats that, A big crack at the base of the cone. The best part is that it was packaged well enough to keep a dozen eggs from breaking. I have to assume that it was sent out like this. Can anyone point me in the direction of a capable skimmer besides Vertex or ATB? Im 7 weeks without a skimmer and im about ready to give up my 8 year reef hobby over this ridiculous service and product quality.

I am surprised the nobody makes a capable skimmer comparable to Vertex or ATB, i was unaware that that the gap between them and the next line is garbage. So i will look at the garbage and see what i can find. I really appreciate all of the fine help from the forum members.
