Are these vermatid snails or something similar thanks in advance

Not that I have seen thats why I ask the question because I can't decide what they are

Break off or cut off at their base and discard. As mentioned GEL superglue over their openings also work, but removing does just that - REMOVES them
 
Sorry one last question is breaking them off enough to kill them or do they have to be removed from the tank I was going to use my long plastic tongs to break them off if they fall to the sand will they live or not
 
If you break off, it must be removed from the base along with the tube. The worm will retreat to the base. Don't leave it in the water or it will find a new home
