So far this is the only place in the tank I have seen them and they do not seem to be bothering the coral, but they have multiplied quickly over the past few weeks. They appear to have two tentacles instead of a web. Spionid worms?

I had a single one of those that was fairly large in my star polyps, but only the one. Everything I read sounded like they're only bad if its killing or really agitating the coral. It definitely was agitating the polyps a bit, but I just let it be and eventually after 3 weeks the polyps grew over its hole again and its gone now.

Wow- Thats a lot of spinoid worms which sends out the thread like palpa to secure food. Best bet is to starve them by directing water flow towards them, , NOT at them to prevent food from reaching them. You with a little patience can also place a dab of gel superglue over each opening and they will starve this way also

Is the white part hard to the touch? Toss the coral and the rock it is on. The battle you may have to fight is not worth it if they are vermatids.

That's a crazy amount of spionid worms as Vetteguy pointed out. I have several frags with spionid worms, but they have never multiplied like this.
