I noticed today that my new purple foot BTA had its foot torn by a vermetid snail. Its new to the tank and has been under this rock, occasionally poking out for some light. I have a LOT of vermetid snails in my tank sadly. Do i need to be concerned about my BTA getting continuously damaged by their calcified tubes?

the nem went up under the rock before I had time to break off the snails and basically crucified itself over them. I removed the rocks with the snails and pulled the nem off of its bed of nails and put it into a pyrex dish. It’s foot got torn open unfortunately. There are puncture wounds all over it right now. After moving it to the Pyrex dish it opened and reinflated itself thankfully. I did a huge water change and added more carbon to my chemical filtration. Anything else I should do?
