Bone cutters are the preferred tool but you could use some small garden shears

whatever that is, does not look like a vermetid. it's huge and boring inside the coral base. get rid of it, I say.

I dis like vermatids. I have a white bubble where these verims Are growing thru the soft stem .

I glued the new frag to a rock and it’s looking great. I’m still not sure what that thing was.
