I started an external refugium about 2 months ago. I have added copepods and some micro aglea. I noticed a couple weeks ago, some white deposits on the back of the refugium. Today it looks like these white deposits have hatched into long reaching stems. Please look at pictures - Are these vermetid snails? not - dealt with these in past. They are in refuguim only for now.

Yes, you guessed correctly

Or maybe

They are spirorbid worms, not vermetid
I agree with this. They usually boom then die off. If they don't add a bumblebee snail or 2 and they'll slowly bring down numbers. They're also a decent vermentid snail preventative. Can occasionally kill very small sick snails though if very hungry

Thanks for replies - I will look to add bumblebee snail to refuguim. Do either affect copepods - was looking to any growth with them.
