Bad news - I think I have vermetid snails. Good news - I can get some pics before I start smashing them. I think animals like this are cool. I dusted off my old camera with macro lens tonight and they are in a spot where I can use a tripod. This started when I had one mushroom that didn't look as good as the others around it. My clowns have hosted the mushrooms and I assumed they were the cause. Anytime they irritated one, it quickly recovered. This one didn't. Then I noticed a vermetid snail nearby. Thought I'd share a cool pic of what the mushroom looks like that is effected by the snail next to a happy one.
