Free floating food is their main source of nourishment. I have seen people use coral snow the reduce numbers a ton. But have never seen then wiped out from it. Only time I have seen them wiped out is the take the rock out and go to town with a scraper and super glue. Not sure if this is where i should post this, but i need advice on how to get rid of these things. I mean i could just remove the rocks with them as they are rocks i added from coral purchases and had no clue was these things were, but i lose almost 30% of rocks.Free floating food is their main source of nourishment. Hopefully others chime on one this, as I would like to know a good way to eliminate them as well. I don't have any, but would be nice to know if I do ever end up with any.
If you can take the rocks out, scrape them off and then put superglue over whats left, Then the rocks can be put back in right after.I mean i could just remove the rocks with them as they are rocks i added from coral purchases and had no clue was these things were, but i lose almost 30% of rocks.
All my base rocks are those rocks because they all dont fit the look of the other rocks so i placed them on the bottom. Theyve been in here since april. If you can take the rocks out, scrape them off and then put superglue over whats left, Then the rocks can be put back in right after.
How many rocks is it? And how long have they been in there? Vermitids can spread somewhat quick from what I have seen, but not crazy quick like flatworms or the like.
If it was me, I would scrape and glue any I could not smash to bits, then put back in the tank. All my base rocks are those rocks because they all dont fit the look of the other rocks so i placed them on the bottom. Theyve been in here since april.
Get them while you easily can as taking the rock out is an option it makes it a lot easier..after that if you see any pop up in your tank it's time to get medieval with a pair of pliers
I have two pairs of short and long surgical forceps for the task myself crunches them well with precision control
