Vermitid snails

How do you keep their mucous nets from going thru filter socks? Gummed up my media reactor. Gfo is caked with it. Any hints or ideas.

Kill the snails. lower micron socks

Get rid of vermetid. . .. easiest to to apply Gel Glue OR coral putty over the tube opening.
Best is to grab a pliers and screwdriver and chip away and remove entire housing with pliers.
