Versa or Kamoer for Calcium reactor

I just got my Calcium reactor and trying to determine the best feed pump.
I know a lot are running the Kamoer and have read that some are Running Versa's. is there any advantage to one or the other besides cost?

I have no experience with either

Its definitely expensive but if I were setting up a calcium reactor this would be the pump i would get

It does have a control app but it's lame. There is really no reason to need the app anyway. You really don't have to mess with it much once you have it dialed in.

a used master flex medical pump is also very nice, but large.

I ran a versa on mine as an experiment. (I have the kamoer as well). The versa tubing was done after about three months. Kamoer lasts me a year or so.

I haven’t tried the Versa, but I have 2 Kamoers, one of which is a 4 head doser, 6 years old and faultless, and I also have the new wifi FX-STP which I actually got for a nitrate reactor (not currently in use)

I have one of the Deltec Twin Tech’s so I don’t need a feed pump, but if I ever change to a ‘normal’ calcium reactor I would definitely feed it with the Kamoer. It’s very simple to use and control and would be perfect

I also have both. The Kamoer is built like a tank and the tubing last a lot longer. It can get loud at speeds over 40-50 ml/m though. My FX-STP is not the wifi version but the on board controls are super simple and the Versa does not have any local controls. The versa is pretty to look at though.

Two different types. Kamoer uses pharmed tubing and versa uses tygon or something similar. If all other variables were equal the pharmed tubing will always last longer.

I have used both and will never use versa again. The tubing does not last long and always go out of calibration. Not to mention the leak!!!!
I use the Kamoer pro T stepper pump and so far I am satisfied with it since it has a very small footprint and controlling by the app is so convenient. Only problem is it does not work with 5ghz wifi so better be aware of that.

Just curious how you are liking the Kamoer X1 Pro T2? I need a continuous doser for kalkwasser and was considering this over the FX-STP because it is so much cheaper. BRS doesn't sell them and there isn't many reviews on them. Wanted to hear some positive feedback before ordering from Amazon

I had an older Kamoer FX-STP non wifi that was rock-solid til I had a leak that shorted out the board. I bought two versas when they came available earlier this year and was stoked to finally be back to a peristaltic pump. Then it dropped calibration so bad that my alk dropped to 5.1. switched back to a needle valve and have more stable alk now. I'm contemplating buying another FX-STP at the moment and selling the BNIB Versa that I never used. I'm now passing on the Versa for continuous flow.

I also transitioned from the kamoer fx-stp to the versa hoping for an improvment. Nothing but a let down.
