I'm looking to get $1000 for this. It's in perfect condition! Not a scratch, dent, or speck of rust on this thing.

Suggested retail on the fixture alone was $2700. Crazy I know, but the build quality is truly amazing! The fixture is one MASSIVE aluminum heat sink. You can run the LEDs at 60% and the fans never even come on. The fans have both "auto" and "on" settings. As one would expect for this price, they are absolutely silent.

I've added five of the multicolored auxiliary modules ordered directly from Jen at Proline Aquatics for $189 each (almost another thousand dollars). They are the North American distributor/customer support center for Vertex. She's great...very helpful throughout the installation process, as well as upgrading the firmware, and even with programming. With this upgraded firmware, you have total control of 7 different color channels: blue, royal blue, white, warm white, red, green, and violet. The violet channel contains three different violet colors.

LED specs:
48 Cree XP-G cool white, 24 Cree XP-G blue, 24 Cree XP-G royal blue, 5 Cree XT-E warm white, 10 Cree XP-E red, 5 Cree XP-E green, and 20 violet Semi LEDs.

Out of curiosity why are you getting rid of it, and/or what are you switching to?

The fixture is 37" in length and my new tank is only 35". It looks kinda weird hanging an inch over each end, and I get light spilling out. Vertex actually recommends this light for a 48" tank.

Here's a demo video of the light fixture where the BRS guys call the original $2700 fixture a good buy (without the multicolor modules).
