I just got mine in and I am having problems setting it up. The instructions completely suck. Can some one please help.

Well i google searched it and i found this picture someone had of their set up. Is this correct? Also the pieces that came with it, not the flow regulator, the other two pieces i dont know what they do.

Yup looks correct to me. The two piece metal thing I did not use on mine, I also have no idea what it is for!!

You need to run to the hardware store and get an hose adapter and a threaded 1/4'' john guest pressure fitting to connect the RODI feed to the hose ada[ter.

they make a garden hose apapter for the unit that screws into the faucet and is 1/4 hose fitting on the other end

I just purchased one of these units...worked great for almost a week. Now, when the float valve shuts off flow, water is pouring out of the high pressure switch. Not at the tubing connections, but where one of the electrical connectors is. I am highly disappointed in this unit already. I had a Kent Maxxima unit for 15 years and never a problem..I probably will ask for a refund. This is not acceptable.

The Vertex systems are pretty low end. They attempted to copy or clone otherwell known systems but left out important steps and cut corners. I disassembled one myself and was amazed at the shoddy workmanship and this one even used 120v AC power and had cheap wire nuts as connectors on top. Not good at all.

Spectrapure. They specially treat all their RO membranes then either batch test or individually hand test every one, use only absolute rated low micron sediment filters, single low micron carbon blocks, custom blend every ounce of their own DI resins in house based on thousands of hours of testing and use only capillary tube flow restrictors you yourself adjust according to your unique water conditions. Been doing it that way in Tempe AZ for about 28 years now and have supported the reef hobby for decades. There really is a difference.

Thanks AZDesertRat...I am having a hard time getting this switch replaced. Vertex is telling me to contact Proline Aquatics (distributor), but so far, I am getting no replies. I've got $320 tied up in this thing and not happy! I don't know what Premium Aquatics (where purchased) will say, but I may ask for a refund.
