I'm getting really tired of my dosing tubes getting all clogged up and creating instability in my tank. Looking at vertex or Neptune tube holders, both about same price? Which is better?

Neptune probe holder? Built like a tank. I think it's way overkill for dosing tubing though. I'm using the Bubble Magus holder and it does just fine.

I want something magnetic and not a HOB so that's why I chose these two. Is vertex a little smaller and more reasonable?

Yes. The vertex is more realistic for dosing tubing and its magnetic.

I have the Vertex and it's a thing of beauty. pH probe will always need to be cleaned off occasionally though, no matter what is holding it. Whenever I see suspiciously low pH I know it's time to give the probe a gentle wiping.

Neptune is made to hold probes specifically. Vertex makes a tube holder with the smaller holes to hold better.

Oops! Somehow missed the part about tubes & was only thinking of probes. Never mind me!

Im not sure about tubes but I have both the Vertex and Neptune probe holders. Both are awesome and can't go wrong with either. I think the Vertex magnet might be a little stronger but its been awhile so I don't remember. Vertex is a little smaller if that matters any.
