Hello, I have a very established reef tank but for some reason this past week green film algae has been a real pain. I have GFO reactor working...Probably time to change the media out. But everytime I clean the glass new algae forms by the end of the day almost that now I have to clean it daily. Nothing has changed in the tank. I run T-5's as supplements to kessila 160's. I will check phosphates in the morning. I know they were a little high from previous tests so I put a few drops of phosphate RX to help it out. I am just wondering what could be the cause for this to all of a sudden happen. I actually did increase intensity of the kessil's from 90 to 100 during high noon in the time cycle. But that is all. Any Ideas and or thoughts would be appreciated.

I think you answered it yourself ;)... GFO is probably exhausted and you increased the intensity of your lighting. Both of those will increase the green film algae on the glass.
