I know it isn't a big deal, but my bubble tip is splitting for the first time! Both look very healthy as well! I'm super excited!

She's been in it since day one. There has been a few times when I thought it was splitting, but ended up just going back to normal. She's in both of them bouncing around and chasing everything away atm. I wouldn't mind if she did it and caused a few more. I love nems and would have a tank full of them if I had $$$

Leave it alone is all I could really say. I put mine in the tank way too soon, < 3 month old tank. I bought it with the clown that's currently hosting it. Bad LFS advice and poor research on my end. I fed it about every 2 weeks a piece of thawed raw shrimp. Eventually, I gave up on that. The clown would remove it half the time then I'd be chasing shrimp in the tank to remove it. Now, I feed it with reef roids mixed with other frozen once or twice a week. Mainly just a quick spritz of the syringe, and usually just the end amount of that, maybe 1 ml. I added corals a few months ago, so I figured why spend extra money just to feed the nem when it will eat the same as everything else.

Also, from what I've gathered, I have a pretty chill nem. He hasn't moved very much at all since introducing him to the tank.

The only real advice I could give being a noob myself:
1. Let it be
2. Only feed a bit, most of the food it takes in is from the lights
3. Guard your powerheads, they're known to venture too close, and if they go in it could go bad.
4. During acclimating, it will shrivel, deflate, inflate, maybe drop some zooanthallae. Just let it be. This could take anywhere from hours to a couple weeks. If there's an issue, it'll move or hide.
5. Enjoy

I always thought feeding and stress caused them to split? If this was your goal then congratulations, if not, I would maybe check for a stressor. Maybe I’m wrong.

You're partially right, sometimes they do it because they're living a good life and happy.
This wasn't not planned. Just let it be. Parameters are stable,
ph 8.3
DKH 8.7
1.026
Calc 430
Mag 1280
(All tested with hannah and red sea tests for accuracy)

have been for 4 months now. WC water is always tested before and DT is tested after to ensure stability.
Nothing is allowed remotely close to the nem, so living stressors aren't really a problem. The clown doesn't do much actually inside the nem. More so spends time "around" it, except when something is encroaching, or she's sleeping.

Tbh, it doesn't really matter to me how or why it happened, as long as everything is healthy. All three are sticky, have good color, tight mouths, and a good foothold. All the right signs for me.
