I am pretty convinced of this as well. It’s a brown macroalgae genus with smaller, highly invasive species (which is a shame, as they feature a gorgeous, blue iridescence) and larger, less invasive species. Mithrax crabs, urchins, and Abalones should be able to consume it.Looks like a type of dictoya algae
. If it comes back in more force perhaps I’ll revisit.
