I am currently in the process of losing my two ocellaris clownfish to what I believe is brooklynella. I guess I made the mistake of purchasing from petco. Despite using paraguard initially and eventually formalin they aren't recovering. All I have in my tank were the two clownfish and a blue spotted watchman goby. The goby shows no sign of disease. Should I leave the goby in the dt and just wait 6 weeks before doing anything further or should I take him out and treat him as well?

Give them a fw dip to see if you can get any parasites to drop off. It should also thin the mucus somewhat so they can breathe better. Then continue the dips. Looks like the fish should also be moved to QT, too, according to the article. It mentions using maracyn 2 to combat/prevent possible secondary infections. I would.

Found them both laying side by side this AM. Too bad :( will my goby serve as a host or will it be okay to leave the tank as is for 6 weeks?

I went through it with a case of ich. You need to take all fish out of dt and put in qt. Treat the fish and leave dt fallow for 6 to 8 weeks.

Will do! Do I need to do anything other than PVC for the watchman goby.. I feel bad that there is nothing to burrow in.
