Very high strontium

Hello, my tank is suffering since a month ago, so i decide to buy a triton ICP test... the results say that strontium is very very high, what could the source of pollution? The tank (600L) is 6 months old

Wow, that's crazy. I'm totally stunned.
Honestly I don't know how you could get that high.
I actually supplement strontium in my tanks and have never had a reading higher than 10.
I suppose if you really overdosed strontium supplement, it might get you there.
I can't think of any other product that would raise your tank's strontium level.
One thing I'd consider is whether there's been a testing error.
Might want to contact them and see if they have any sample left, and could run it again.
Otherwise might want to send another sample for confirmation (this time, to ATI.)

Triton normally lists possible sources for contamination it should be in the help tab they will also recommend a course of action too put it right ..

Triton's recommendations are only a starting point, and often, not specific enough to be useful.

Yes ..but It gives you an idea ...I had it once before I started triton ...overdosed the tank using a product from Colombia that had trace elements in ...

I got my icp back from ati and my strontium is high too in the 20’s. Only thing I can think of is the Red Sea foundation C with has strontium in it and my tank uses 40ml of that a day....

That has to be a mistake. I would contact them. They dont even mention it in the report or offer a recommended fix.
Thats 150 times normal. Unless you mega overdosed I dont see another way to get that high.

No it would be under the help tab ..you you csnt open that one too see ..at least I cant

Oh ok. I was reading under dose. Still 150 times normal? Dose not seem possible unless a mega over dose was admimistered.

I don't think it's overdose problem... my tank is big, for that amount I should have put it in 10 jars of integrator ...

I'm using Foundation C too!!! Maybe is the cause

Did you ever determine the cause?

I use the red sea foundation ABC and their trace colors.

I don't dose strontium specifically and my strontium levels have been consistently over 16.

Scratching my head on this one.
