So as a starters my parameters are near my definition of perfect 440ca 9.5kh 1325mag no3: 10 no2: 0 nh3/4: 0. lighting is a sunpower dimmable 6x54w (b+,abs, actinic,c+,p+,b+) I’ve started noticing once a month (over the last 5 months) my nem begins to split it’ll make it half way to the mouth over the course of 3 or 4 days and stop and begin to heal and form new tentacle Nubs and during the course of the rest of the month spending its time growing those newly formed nubs into full tentacles I’m curious has any other reefer experienced something similar to this weird phenomenon is it natural should i

My BTAs split times vary - seen it occur in a few minutes to over the course of several hours. The latest split I witnessed took at least 6+hrs and looked totally gruesome- it elongated part of its head around a rock that was 4+ inches away, and the foot was planted on a rock about the same distance away. They were grouchy for a day or two then all good. My opinion to let them just do their thing.
See my nem never goes as far as that it wont make the hurdle to attempt the "tear" but ive noticed itll loosen its grip on one side of its foot and and begin to start the tear then bam its torn half way the mouth and it decides to chicken out and stick its foot completely back into the rock crevice and it just starts the healing process again
