Looks to be one of the captive raised ones, something's been nibbling on its fins though. Tangs have a clear larval stage known as acronurus. When they morph into juveniles, they start to turn yellow. The breeders need to sell them ASAP, so light colored ones hit the market.

I won't worry unless it has darker patches on it.
I have actually seen almost transparent yellow tangs as well.they were at a local reefer's tank n I could see the spine. But they grew into healthy with bright yellow color.

so there‘s nothing wrong with it? i sooo want a yellow tang haha but i‘ll have to wait when i upgrade to a bigger tank. The price is o.k. though, not overly pricey like in the US which i heard can go up to 400$

The fins show some sort of issue - either old damage that has partially regrown, or some developmental issue. These young tangs don't have much of a margin of error - they are so slightly built that if they go off feed due to any issue, they just don't have any reserves to draw on so if the treatment is delayed enough, you will lose them. Of course, the expectation would be that wild caught tangs would have more issues to start with.
When these first hit the market, Coral magazine asked me to write an opinion piece on why these fish were showing HLLE:

I've seen photographs of wild Black Tangs, taken with flash photography, where they show what looks like classic HLLE lesions, but which is simply due to the camera flash.
