Hey paintballer! I'm glad you posted. I got a kenya tree about 12 days ago and it is hit or miss on up and atom or shriveled. I have a 75 gal with one power head and just to my hob biowheel off. It is a work in progress but i have 1 clown 1 shrimp and very active cuc. I comment because i read if mag is low cuc basically doesn't move. I dont know because i only have api test kit.nothing much for corrals. Sad to say but again im working the build up as best i can. Reading comments though I'm going to try more flow and order test kit.

Interesting I haven't heard about magnesium affecting the CUC. I only have the api saltwater test kit so I am missing quite a few. I will definitely be looking into that though. Thanks for the comment and good luck

So I did an experiment to help you out here and what I found is my Kenya tree opens up for a few hours mid day before he is irritated by the shrimp. It may not be a Parameter problem, may just be annoyed.

I am too. I have been watching to see. Mine is still sad. My light isnt great but it has opened up nicely before. I put up another power head. Indirect and it seems to stand up but not open up. Even though i started feeding frozen foods instead of flakes. Its awesome, the tanks reaction is all new. Everyone gets excited. My zoas are now showing immense growth.
