I have a new setup, just put my live rock in yesterday from my local store. They receive the rock dry then put it in their own tanks (not sure if they do anything to it in between), but I figured this LR would be safe to put in the tank straight away.

Yesterday I noticed I had a blue legged hermit grab that must have hitched a ride, seems to be doing okay.

This morning I noticed these things that look like coral have been oozing some weird stuff, and one of them now has a white ring in the center. Is this normal? And is it possible they're able to survive in a cycling tank?

I also noticed 2 types of worms on my small rock. One is white/transparent and doesn't fully come out of the rock. Just comes partway out to grab things. The second has black and white stripes. Both incredibly small, barely noticeable. Are either of these okay to have?

Attached a few pics of the tank as well!

Thanks!

Green thing with white ring is a mushroom, they are tough and will likely be ok.. The oozing looks to be a die off from another type of coral and the herm is a bonus...
WELCOME TO THE FORUMS!

White worm thingy might be a spaghetti work - most are safe. The striped worm is probably a micro brittle star - the hide and you usually only see the arms reaching out - good CUC.

I like your rock scraping.
