very warm MP40

I'm really new to vortech. I just picked up two gen2's and can onlyn currently run one, as I need a new wet side for one of them. Anyway, it seems to be getting pretty darn warm to the touch. Is this normal? I would expect some heat, but this seems a little suspicious. I can still touch it, no problem, but I'm wonder ing if I should be doing something differently. Since I purchased them used, and they were kinda neglected, I dont have a manual but I do know about aligning the sides and it runs with very little noise, it just has a little electrical whirring sound. Oh, and I set the pins to the appropriate glass thickness. I just want to know if the heat is normal. Thank you for your help

At full power, mine are very hot to the touch. That's the beauty of having them outside the tank.

ok, that's great. I thought maybe my dry side might have to be replaced, that's a relief, thank you.
