vesicle on acropora

Lets make this a topic to discuss, almost every aquarium with acros- ive had the pleasure of viewing, ive encountered this phenomenon. Ive always had these 2 acro colonys that show these vesicles, but doesnt look like it seems to harm them. Found nothing through research so if anyone comes across something interesting please share! Im curious to know if its like a sg issue, or maybe internal ph issue. Maybe more skin growth to skeletal growth. Lets hear some opinions!

Barnicles!!! I hate them. I'll shoot some pics to you tomorrow if some I have. I've seen some like (square ish) and others that are round. I have both.

Does a fan come out of it?

Haha nope not a barnicle, i can actually pop thos bubbles if i touch then but i dont think thats a smart idea. Its Kindve like the bounce mushroom bubbles

Interesting. I had a LPS brain that had a bounce bubble. The palys killed it unfortunately.

Maybe it's a mutation. I haven't personally observed this on an acro. Very interesting.

Yep, its rare according to research. But ive seen alot of people that have them. So hopefully people that have came across this can chime in

Nope seen i on a couple types before.

I've seen this in my buddy's tank on only one particular acro. He says they come and go, doesn't seem to hurt or help. Just look funny.

Never thought about researching it until you bring it up. Interesting!
