Veterans...

so i've noticed a few, maybe a handful of shops offer veteran discounts on their products... i wonder if theres a way to compile a complete list of those who do. it would be AWESOME especially for those of us who are 100% disabled/unemployable and can't work side jobs or overtime to afford some of the more expensive pieces from equipment to livestock. @steve&mari maybe you guys can get this going? i see you're pretty active and have a voice that can be heard.

, I do not take advantage of hardly any of the benefits available to us, but this is one I think I would!

I'll see what I can find out n help try to get it going. I think it's a great idea I'm sure others will agree.

Also sitting at 100% rating by the VA. Medically discharged in 2014.

the main reason i ask about compiling such a list, or prompting more vendors to extend the courtesy to us that we selflessly extended to them by raising our right hands and swearing on an oath to forever uphold, active duty or not, is cause i mainly got into this "hobby" (we'll call it that for now but we all, veteran or not, know its a straight up obsession) to help with my PTSD. i read a few articles about how aquarists on average are 20% less stressed (must apply to freshwater only... my salinity is off .2 and I'm bat poop crazy). there are a few programs out there now, tanks for thanks being one i've seen online, but don't have much backing behind them. its crazy to think that a box of water, sand, and rocks saved my life.

Hey guys sorry I been away a few days and honestly haven't had time to get this going but will be working on it today n the weekend. Our 8 months old grandson was sick and ended up in hospital Tuesday night. He's doing better and hopefully coming home today. Hopefully you understand why it's delayed me getting deeper into this until now. Thank you for all each of you have done serving our country n us. I'll keep this updated as I hear back from vendors ect. Sorry again for the delay.

ugh, sorry to hear that! the only thing that makes me happier than you getting behind this is the fact lil man is gonna be ok. i have one as well, 4.5 going on 25 and theres that can make me drop everything like he can. so thanks again for your support on this and hope he's feeling much better today!

I think it would be cool to give you servicemen and women a discount but that would be something that each vendor would have to want to do or not. Maybe some will chime in!

I'm not a vender but would be willing to offer discounts on items I sell from time to time. Also I've been know to give extra corals for free but currently don't ship corals out only local pick up.
