Two new tiny species for me

Scorpaenopsis diabolus (living in the sump because he’s so tiny)

Sounds like you have a good one in the perfect tank for it. These often just disappear when added to a larger tank.

Oh ya... A total waste of money in a larger tank because they don't move around at feeding time or any other time for that matter. LOL. If the food I dropper feed him with is more than an 1" away from him he ignores it. I'm convinced that in the wild they catch whatever floats by their mouths. Hunting for food is not what these guys are designed to do!

Neither are there _because_ they're venomous, just happen to _also_ be venomous.

I guess it works in their favor to have an entire ocean's worth of food simply float past their mouths for the taking. That's kind of an awesome sounding life. LOL

It’s likely a Scorpaenodes or Scorpaenopsis species rather than Inimicus but haven’t invested the time to research it properly yet. I’m all ears if anyone has ideas

Go for it - such a great little fish although they can be a bit reserved initially.

Your tank, collection, and photos are stunning.. it’s great to hear feeding hasn’t been too difficult for you. I recently added a fuzzy dwarf to my tank and I’m feeding him ghost shrimp with tweezers. I froze a number of ghost shrimp and plan to start swapping them soon. Hopefully he will move to reef frenzy later.

I’ve had this citron clown goby (Gobiodon citrinus) in quarantine for a while which has toxic mucus (so I guess it's more poisonous than venomous).
@srcleary do you still have your stingrays?
