Yep, my magnificent was established for 4 years prior to the black.

I will say, coming home with a bucket with the black rabbit wasn’t easy to handle, especially getting him into the tank.

Rabbit fish have one of the most painful stings!

No wonder why many seem to shy away from them!

I knew they were venomous but always saw it as just a bee sting. I believe I read somewhere that they do have the same venom as a stonefish but at a lower concentration though.

Yeah
All fin stings are roughly the same venom (protein based). Stone fish are the more dangerous partially because when you step on one they inject a ton more venom due to the pressure of being stepped on.

Yep I got poked bad and boy did I feel like crap lol. Really pretty fish though!

It is a Yellow Canary Blenny. Super delightful fish. A fish that understands the world around them including recognizing us.

My LFS just called me about this pair of spotted coral crouchers they just got in (caracanthus maculatus) they know I have been looking for these for a long time. very excited to have been able to get this pair!
Now it’s time to expand my pocillopora garden for them to live in.

Foxface in a 70 gallon tank?

Here are 2 that I have now and the volitans is on hold.

Sadly the Fu died due to my stupidity. I did a larger water change and thought I was replacing the water with 35ppt salinity and instead it was 45ppt. It was the only thing in the tank affected even though salinity got to 42ppt. I still have the scorpion and the volitans. I also picked up 2 fuzzy dwarfs and a yellow spot scorpion. I'll try to get pics later.

Foxface in a 70 gallon tank?

It was more commonplace in the past but now I don't think it is done. Maybe one of the smaller species can be kept in a 70g if it's a shallow tank. At least temporarily although even then. My understanding is to treat them like tangs. So, I wouldn't but it depends on whether you have another tank for when it gets bigger.

I disagree with this, I’ve had 3-4 foxfaces now and not one acted like a tang with the swim pace. I’ve even seen them in 8’ tanks just chilling and not going all out, making the tank into a racing track.
Feeding wise, they are similar to a tang but again, nowhere near as fast to the food. I had 2 in a 4’ tank and they were fine together, not a single issue in pace.

No venomous fish but I've always loved lionfish. P. Mombasae had been on my wish list forever but I've never been able to find one. Hopefully I can get one someday and join the club.
