Vibrant Algae Cleaner

I'm thinking about buying some Vibrant to help solve my Turf Algae problem, but if it works as good as it's supposed to, won't my algae CUC starve?

I buy dried Nori and crush it up into a powder, then a few drops of water to let it soak to basically a paste. I dump this into the tank and the tiny pieces make their way into the nooks and crannies for the CUC. The hermit crabs love it. Sometimes I have to transport snails into the fuge to make sure they have something to eat.

I found it to be great for bubble algae but had little impact on bryopsis, perhaps thinned it a bit but never got rid of it in my tank.
