Trying to fight bubble algae with vibrant. Will it kill my dragons breath

Boo. Going to figure something else out. Emerald crabs didnt do anything

I tried emerald crabs when I had bubble algae and they also did nothing. Only thing that worked for me was manual removal and getting my nutrients under control. This was a long time ago though. These days, my nutrient levels are too low so I'm battling dinos and cyano all the time. Can't win in this hobby.

How did you get your nutrients under control. I am using a hob and do 25%water changes bi weekly

Years ago I switched to higher quality fish food (Omega Super Veggie Flakes, good Nori, and a variety of frozen stuff) and coral food (Reef Roids and Red Sea Reef Energy AB+). I do a wet skim so I need to empty my skim cup once a week. In addition to a healthy amount of rock in my DT, I also have about 15 pounds of seaside aquatics biospheres in my sump which really boosted surface area for bacteria. If you're using an HOB, I'm guessing that you don't have a sump and maybe not even a skimmer. If no skimmer, that's the first thing I'd do. And, if you can't do a skimmer, you're only real option is to do that 25% water change once a week

Vibrant will, unfortunately, kill the dragons breath algae. :(
I've had that experience, too, if we're talking about the same species of halymenia. Vibrant definitely killed off the macro in my 4g jar build after I applied as instructed for two weeks. It had no effect, though, on halymenia in my 65g RSM, and I dosed that for months. I did run a skimmer (intermittently) on the RSM, though, and that might have had an impact.

Emeralds have been amazing for me with bubble algae, anecdotally the only two places I ever have had to remove it are on the back of a trochus that hangs on the back wall and on a floating platform on the wall in another tank that they can't reach -
last night I added 3 new ones to the display to help with some turf algae and literally as they were floating into a settled position, two of them were plucking at strands, before they tried to hide. Not foolish to think they will control the turf, but every little bit helps
