So i have 2 tanks. 1 has been running for roughly 3 years. The other less than a year. No coraline in either. I started dosing vibrant and a couple weeks later coraline has started coming in strong! Anyone else had the same experience?

I as well, thank yeR old besides some spots on glass and overflows. Now aggressive growth I. Rocks.

There is a thread in the General sub forum. Search for Vibrant. You should come across the general discussion of it and it has many many pages. Search or post in that thread. Great resource when using the product.

Having used it to battle GHA I did not pay attention to coralline. It was already there before and after so can't say one lead to the other. I was going to say that maybe coralline was already there but you couldn't see it :) Once the GHA or other algae was removed you see it... Honestly, no idea.

I used it for 6 weeks to cleanup some funky brown stuff. Never really thought about it but you can see the difference once the uglies were wiped out. Used it for 6 weeks. I attribute the growth to trace elements and "stabiliy" but?

Interesting observation.
2 month difference.
Now 4 months after vibrant.

I think its a case of next in line with nutrient uptake with the removal of the other algae

The nutrient availability is what I was thinking. Regardless of the reason, it is a side effect I am glad to have! As I have continued dosing, it really has increased on the glass in my biocube and on the ABS in my bare bottom tank.
